ALL ABOARD!!!!!! « Thread Started on Nov 12, 2007, 11:51am »
"BEEP BEEP BEEP," went Thomas' radio. He stopped it, and the radio started playing. He stopped the radio too.
Thomas quickly got up and dressed, (in his nicest clothes) and had breakfast in his medium sized house right outside London. Today was a big day for Thomas. It was September 1st, the first day of the Hogwarts School Term. But first, he had to catch the train that left at Kings Cross Station. The train station would be about 1 1/2 hour drive, which would be to long. Instead, they had to srive to a near subway station, that would take them directly to Kings Cross Station.
Thomas boarded the subway. He looked weird with all the supplies needed, including an owl. They arrived at Platform 3 in Kings Cross Station.
Tom walked along, and kept track of which platforms he passed. "6....... 7 ...... 8.......... Heres 9....... Theirs 10." He looked at his ticket. WHAT? Platform 9 3/4? Where was that? He desided to take a breather. He leaned against the Wall that was closest to 10, but across from Platform 9. The moment he leaned against the wall, He fell into the wall. "AHH! Ouch," said Thomas. He had a big bruise on his leg. He looked up at the sign. 9 3/4????? "Oh, it's a fake wall!" He quickly got his stuff and boarded the train.
He got on the train and looked for a compartment. He kept track of the compartments he passes. "C E45.... C I72.... C P01.... Ah! Heres any empty compartment!" He looked up. The sign said Comp. J77. He quickly got in to their. As soon as he closed the door and sat down, a person, about his age, opened the door.......

"May i join you?" A tired and very scared Wing asked as she opened the compartment door, only to find another person already in the one she thought was empty. "I am sorry to bother you. If you want me to leave, i can." She gave a weak smile and clutched her hand bags closely to her.

Thomas loked up at the door. He saw a very nervous Girl standing. "Why sure you can," said Thomas, "I'm Thomas Postal, but my friends call me Tom! What's your name?"

"Wing. Wing Lightner. My friends... call me Wing..." She trailed off, laughing a bit. "So are you a first year too?" She asked uneasily, trying to start a conversation in the awkward silence.

Eldnak was packing up his trunk, at his house, trying to suppress the nerves that where building up inside him. He knew it wasn't know where near time to leave the house to go to Kings Cross Station but he had woken up that morning at around 4 O'Clock and just couldn't go back to sleep. He had his trunk packed at around 7 o'clock and could finally hear his parents stirring in there room.
He looked in the mirror to make sure that he was ready to leave the house. His dark brown hair was very messy but there was nothing that Eldnak could do about that, it was always that way no matter how much he tried to brush it down. But it also gave him a handsome look. He had black eyes, but unlike his eyes that wasn't his personality. He was a kind a gentle boy, he loved to help people.
Finally that time had come, he carried his trunk down the hallway with his bird cage in his other hand. His brown eagle owl named Bentley was in his cage fast asleep. He had just gotten home from the nights hunt. There was a dead rat at the bottom of the cage which was already starting to smell bad. He made a mental note to remember to clean out his cage as soon as he could use magic, he really didn't want to touch any dead animals or bird droppings.
His parents where waiting for him at the door they looked almost as nervous as Eldnak did. His mom with her long flowing blond hair was standing at the door almost in tears. Eldnak knew that he was her baby boy, her only son. Eldnak's father was standing beside his wife looking very proud of Eldnak also, his chisled face was beaming and you could see something glistening in his gray eyes. Eldnak had never known if father to cry but it looked like he was holding back his tears with everything he had.
"Are you ready son?" Eldnak's father asked him," Do you have everything packed, if you do then grab my arm."
Oh no, Eldnak thought. He hated to do Side-by Apparation. If was just so uncomfortable. It always felt like he was gonna suffocate. And it didn't help that Eldnak was claustrophobic and couldn't stand being in tight spaces, which side-by Apparation felt like your whole world was caving in.
Finally it was over he was standing outside the bright red train, Hogwarts Express. The smoke was bellowing out of the top and the whistle was blowing very loudly. Eldnak knew he didn't have long to get on. But his father had placed an arm on his shoulder just as he was walking off.
"Listen to me Eldank, I love you and I'm very proud of you," Mr. Milner said, "and don't get into any trouble, you remember what happened to your sister right?"
Eldnak needed no reminding what had happened to her, "Yes Dad I know, I'll keep out of trouble."
Eldnak said good-bye to his father and boarded the train looking for an empty compartment or at least one with just a few people his own age that he could talk to. He looked in so many compartments but they were all full. He was about to give up hope when he saw one, J77, it only had 2 people in it and even better they looked his age. Wonderful!
He opened the door, "Hey, do you care if I come in, every other compartment is full I think?"

Again the compartment door slid open. All of the seats in other compartments were full. Thalassa didn't like being around other people that much-she was far too shy, and lived on her own in the city even though she was so young-but she would have to for now. "Hi...m-may I join you?" she stammered. She was sure they knew the other places were full. She'd heard the third person that had entered tell the two other students. She kept her eyes low, staring at the ground, but moved them to look at her watch. The train would be leaving in a minute so she should get seated, somewhere. But if here she'd need an answer.

"Th-thanks..." Thalassa murmured, and heaved her bags to the up above area where the other luggage was. The train was just starting to move as she sat, in the corner nearest the door, away from the others. She wondered which houses they were in, if they too were first years, and other questions that would remain unasked, unless someone else asked them.

Wing was seated right across from the girl who had just entered the train compartment. "I'm Wing." She introduced, flashing a small smile. "Are you nervous?" she asked, "because i most certainly am."

Thalassa smiled a weak smile back at the other girl and nodded. Trying to overcome her shyness-these were her future classmates after all, right?-she said, "I'm..Thalassa. Are...you a first year?...I am..." She trailed off again. The silence was awkward but she was used to feeling left out, not fitting in much. She never did, but who cares? Trusting people just gets you a broken heart most of the time. It's why she doesn't most of the time.

Thalassa seemed quite nervous and shy. Wing gave a sympathetic smile once more, "yeah, i'm a first year too... i guess we're both nervous here." She added.

Thalassa nodded again and smiled weakly, starting to relax some. Prodding slightly at conversation to not seem so incompetent, she asked, "So...what house are you in?"

Wing's eyes widened with surprise and immediate horror, "we are suppose to know our houses yet?" Naive, she continued to freak out, "i didn't know we had houses yet. Did they send it in our letter or should we just know already?" She asked, not sure.

Thalassa shook her head vigorously and explained. "No, no, I just didn't know mine...and I was wondering if we had to as well. So I thought if other people knew their houses...well, I'd find out if we did." The girl tried to smile and pondered...which house would she be in? Well, she'd just have to wait and see. She turned her attention back.

Brooke was nervous. It wasn't like she didn't know what was going to happen. Afterall her older sister had told her how everything went, but that didn't stop her from being nervous. Even though it was her first time getting onto the train at Kings Cross station, it felt normal since for the last 3 years she had been coming there with her sister...watching the train slowly get smaller in the distance as she stood on the platform beside her parents, wishing she was old enough to be able to go to Hogwarts.
This was her time. Her time to prove herself to her parents, the way her sisters Quidditch skills and marks already did. Staring at the large train infront of her, barely hearing her parents mutters of 'You'll do fine' and 'Your sister will help you', Brooke sighed. This was finally it. Looking beside her at her sister she put on a nervous smile. "Can we go now?" She asked, bored of standing there and just wanting to get on the train and sit down.
After saying goodbye to her parents, Brooke and her sister stepped on the train. They walked slowly, looking in each window trying to find an empty compartment when Brooke sister shrieked. "What?" Brooke said, a bit angrly since her sister had just scared her half to death. But before her word even came out her sister was already pulled into a compartment full of her 3rd year friends.
"Thats great" The young girl said to herself quietly, leaving to continue down the aisle to find a compartment. At the end of the train Brooke still couldn't find any empty compartments so she decided to just suck it up and sit with someone. Finding a compartment with kids that seemed around her age, Brooke walked in.
"Hey...do you guys mind if I join?" She asked politely, a smile formed on her face. Brooke hoped they would let her sit with them, since she had no where else really to go.

Ella stood in between Platforms 9 and 10, looking between the two signs like she was watching a tennis match. "Mom, do you what to do?" Even though both her parents were magical, neither of them knew what to do. They had both gone to Salem Academy. Her whole family had come to England a month before to do her shopping in Diagon Alley and get accustomed to the British ways of doing things. She had found being in Britain a very strange experience; after all, Britain was different from America.
Ella decided to put her bags down for a moment. She walked over to the column to get out of the way and placed her bags down. She sat down on top of her trunk and leaned against the wall, but promptly fell off.
Surprised, she looked around. She was in a completely different area. People were rushing around with owls in cages and trunks similar to her own. She knew she was in the right place.
After realizing she was gone, her parents had rushed through the barrier after her, pushing her bags through with them. A few minutes later, Ella was on the train, waving to her parents through an open window. She decided she should try to find a compartment before they were all booked.
After walking up and down the train a few times, she decided she had better pick one compartment. She chose one at random, and was pleased to see that the kids already in it looked about her age. She pushed open the door. "Is there any room?" It looked a bit crowded. She hoped the other students wouldn't make fun of her American accent.

"Sure!" Wing exclaimed, inviting the nervous students in. She tried to give them a warm enough smile as she could, realizing that they were just as nervous as she was. 'There are only five people in here. One more wouldn't breach my claustraphobic level one bit!' She thought sarcastically to herself, scooting as far away as she could- until her entire body seemed pressed against the wall of the express and her face was stuck against the window.

Thalassa shook her head and tried to smile at the two other girls that had entered. To save Wing from being crushed she moved over on the seat to make room for one of them. "Hi, I'm Thalassa..." She noticed the second girl had an American accent. It must be cool to be from a different country, she thought. You get to learn two different cultures, and actually experience them instead of read words on a textbook page. She wondered if she would end up in the same houses as any of them.

Length:
A good RP consist about 2 Paragraphs, or one long one. Paragraphs are at least 2 sentences. Ella, please work on making yours a bit longer. you could describe your personal thought about people in your head, and or start a new subject. There is plaenty of things to do. Please go for a bigger shot next time. (I'm fine with it, just make it longer. Nothing bad?) ~HJ~

ooc: rpgs shouldn't have to be two paragraphs long. sometimes there is nothing to put but a simple reply. i understand something shouldn't be one word long, but sitll. Ella's post was technically four sentences... so there was no reason to put that. _edited_
"Yeah, we're all first years. How coincidental." She grinned. The compartment had gotten hot, but not stuffy enough that she was sweating. It had taken her a while to realize, but she wasn't dressed in her school uniform.
She blushed once, "does anyone know where we get dressed in our uniforms?" She asked uncomfortably. There were boys in the room and she was asking such a question.

Tiffani was late. She had gotten lost because she didn't exactly know that platform 9 1/3 was supposed to be like a portal! She had been walking back past all of the train stations when she bumped into what she thought was the wall but ended up on the other side of it and was no longer lost. Tiffani boarded the train and looked around. She was shocked to find there was barely anyone on the bus. The only reason she could find was that the school was

Andreanna Rose was almost late. She half dragged her mother towards Platform 9 3/4. Once safely through the barrier she heard her mother say, "Be carefull! And i dont want you getting into as much trouble as I did. Now, dad sends his love. Off you go," her mother said, pushing her off. "Bye mom!" Andreanna said. She left her mom to put away her luggage and carried her smaller sack on with her, which held her lunch, her wand, her robe, and other small things. Andreanna opened a compartment and was thankfull to find it empty, when she heard voices from the one next door. Hesitantly, she knocked.

Hermione was running into the compartment. " Bye, Mum, see you in a few months" she yelled at the top of her voice. Then she noticed that she was at least 5 inches away from some first year girls! She blushed and said nevously " Hello, my name is Hermione Granger who are you?"But before the girls answered she yelled " Do you want to play the lying game?" She shook her bushy brown hair out of her deep blue eyes and waited for an reply.

Zero walked up and down the train 'I can't beleive they did that,' Zero thought. Zero's father and mother surpisnly gave Zero a gift and said not to open untill after the sorting ceramony and a group of fifth years thought it would be funny to transport it somewhere on the train. Zero opened what had to be at least the fifty compartment "Excuse me, but have any of you seen a small box with holes in it? If not could you please allow me cheack," Zero was ready to have someone yell 'GET OUT' and waited for it.

Floreset slowly slid into her own cabin letting the door slid behind her. She was new and wanted time to pamper and get ready for the arrival at hogwarts, her dream school. She pulled her hair up into a tight, neat bun and re-did her messy make-up.
She then sat down and stared at the country side as it moved swiftly by.... maybe she should have sat down with some other for this was becoming rather boring.... oh well!
